Delilah M. Giacomo, 49, of DuQuoin, passed away at 6:15 P.M., Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Delilah was a homemaker and had worked at Essex Mfg. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Du Quoin.
She was very proud to be a member of Mid America Transplant Association and did a lot of volunteer work for them. She was also a volunteer at the Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin.
Delilah was born July 27, 1955 at Granite City, IL, the daughter of William Edward and Elizabeth (Prater) Barnes.
She is survived by her mother Elizabeth Pinkston of Cambria, IL, sister- Jennifer Petersen of Metropolis, IL, two brothers- Richard Dale Barnes and Nathan Barnes-Atterberry, both of Elkville, eight nieces and nephews, six great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Bro. Greg Dickerman officiating.
Friends may call from Noon to 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
Interment will be in the Hallidayboro Cemetery at Hallidayboro.
Friends may make memorials to the Mid America Transplant Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
